In 2010 „Das Absolventenbarometer“ also looked for the 100 most popular employers in Germany. Approximately 10,000 soon-to-be-graduating engineering students, participated in the trendence study and Salzgitter AG once again was selected one of the 100 TOP employers. Thus, we have been listed continuously in the ranking since 2007/2008.
Compared to last year, Salzgitter AG has made a considerable leap in the ranking list of TOP employers (number 60).
We are delighted about these positive results and at the same time incited to make Salzgitter AG and thus also Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH with their interesting and challenging tasks even more known as employers.
We are thankful for the great confidence.

Salzgitter AG features again among Europe's TOP employers. This was the verdict of approximately 8,000 soon-to-be-graduating engineering students from all over Germany in the Absolventenbarometer 2009 (Engineering Edition), a detailed overview of the German job market for university graduates. And we were already 2007 and 2008 among Germany’s TOP 50 with regard to machine building. Naturally, we are very pleased with these positive results. At the same time, we regard these rankings as incentive to make Salzgitter AG, with all its subsidiaries and interesting activities, an even better known employer.

PS: The City of Braunschweig, which is directly adjacent to Salzgitter, received an interesting ranking in a comparison of cities throughout Germany - place 11 in the City ranking, which is even better than the rankings accorded to Hamburg or Cologne, for example. The city comes in at eighth place in engineer density, and sixth in the category of "Service-oriented and open-for-reform city administration."
