As an engineer you will, for example, assist with the commissioning of plants with an output higher than that of an ICE 3 and with plant speeds up to 180 m/min. Within the field of application technology you will optimize processing procedures to make sure that the constructions keep the steel’s promises. Or you see to it that the forces within the blast furnace may unfold in a controlled way in order to ensure a non-stop operation over several years. With temperatures of up to 2,200 °C and a pressure of approx. 3 bar this is a real challenge!
