At this year’s autumn congress of the ECCA (European Coil Coating Association) Salzgitter Flachstahl and Salzgitter Mannesmann Forschung GmbH were represented. This year’s congress about “resource-efficient strip coating” attracted 165 participants from the coil coating industry.

However, the increased yield strength will lead to pronounced springback effects on component geometry in the forming process. Specific software tools that predict springback effects on the components by means of finite elements simulation are therefore employed in the automotive and supplier industries in order to reduce development times.
