Ladles with a fire-resistant lining are used to transport pig iron and steel in the steelworks. The ladles have to be pre-heated to approx. 1100 °C before they can be filled with the liquid metal.

On September 30, a partner day was held at the hot-strip rolling mill to mark the completion of the restructuring work. Following the implementation of the hot-strip strategy, the event was staged to introduce customers and suppliers to the modernized hot-strip rolling mill.
