Salzgitter Flachstahl will issue new pricelists on January 1, 2009.

On the initiative of Salzgitter Mannesmann Forschung a workshop with Salzgitter Flachstahl customers took place at EDAG – Engineering und Design AG in Fulda. The focus was on the development and application scope of air-hardening steels, especially in the passenger vehicle chassis and suspension area.

Folastal® is the brand name under which Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH is successfully selling its flat steel products with a ready-to-use final coat of paint. It is a product which looks back on a forty-year tradition in the meantime. The first strip coating line was put into operation in Salzgitter in 1968.

Salzgitter Flachstahl accords high priority to smooth communication and close cooperation with sister companies. The cooperation with Salzgitter Europlatinen GmbH is a successful example of such productive relationships.

Based on the positive response to the customer oriented talks and presentations at the last Euroblech event in the year 2006, the existing concept was further developed and streamlined. According to the new focus, the trade fair presentations showcased successful customer projects with Salzgitter materials and products.
