Salzgitter constructional steel products impress with their improved forming and welding properties. Such steel grades are frequently used for welding constructions which are subject to high stress in the field of large-scale machine engineering, as well as in bridge and steel construction. The new weather-proof constructional steel products represent a further development in terms of corrosion protection. They round off the range of constructional steel products and are primarily utilized in areas subject to high corrosive stress.

The high-tensile hot-rolled strip products are primarily used to produce main girders, frame constructions, cold-forged parts, cold profiles and construction pipes. The range also includes hot-rolled strip and cold-rolled strip products made of special steel grades such as weldable fine-grain constructional steel for pressure vessel, boiler and pipeline construction. Moreover, Salzgitter Flachstahl offers a range of high-strength and ultrahigh-strength steel product variants with hot-dip coating, as well as cold-rolled variants with electrolytic galvanization that have been finding increasing use in the automotive industry over the past years.
