Electro-zinc coated steel products

At the start of the new millennium, our existing electro-zinc coating line for strip products was totally refurbished to meet our customers’ high quality requirements. At the same time, our new line sets new environmental engineering and safety standards.
The Gravitel process which is used operates with several plating cells installed in series. An electric field between the sheet and the anodes causes the zinc particles dissolved in the electrolyte to be deposited on the sheet surface. Freely selectable switching of several anode groups enables either one side or both side zinc coating to be applied.

The uniform surface of the electrogalvanised sheet Salzinc®-E offers ideal properties as the starting material for high-quality painting, as is required nowadays by the automotive industry.
