LD steel plant

The LD steel plant converts the hot metal from the blast furnace into crude steel through the addition of scrap and slag flux. The tramp elements (C, Si, Mn, P) in the iron are removed by oxygen blowing in the converter. At the end of the process the result is crude steel.
