FolaSal^® - Film coatings for special applications

FolaSal^® coatings based on lacquers cover a very wide range of applications in the market and offer our customers a balanced range of possibilities. Nevertheless, there are requirements that are so complex or so demanding that they simply cannot be met by coatings. A wide variety of FolaSal^® film coatings are available for these cases.

These include, for example:

- plain-coloured PVC films with food safety certificate for use in cold stores or refrigerated vehicles

- extra thick PVC roofing films, which can be welded together directly during processing

- Weather-resistant PVC films in different optics (e.g. wood, stone, marble, granite) for garage doors or facade elements

- metallized PET films with stainless steel or mirror optics for use in domestic appliances, elevators or interior design

- Films for shipbuilding with so-called "wheelmark approval"

- Polyethylene films for back panels of domestic appliances or inside barrel lids

- Polypropylene films for applications requiring exceptional mechanical strength and chemical resistance

The thicknesses of these films are between 15 and 800 µm, depending on the intended use and film type. The range of available film coatings can be extended nearly at any time upon customer request, since our coil coating line has optimal technical conditions for film application and we cooperate very closely with various film suppliers.
