Launch of the new customer relationship management system
04.07.2024 | Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH
At the end of May, the time had finally come for the new "CRM@365" system to be launched at Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH. During a Go Live event under the motto "Workplace of the future", the start buzzer was ceremoniously activated by Eike Brünger, Managing Director Sales and Logistics.
What are the benefits of CRM@365 for Salzgitter and for customers?
The new customer relationship management system ensures that work becomes even more efficient for Salzgitter Flachstahl's customers and employees. CRM@365 is a central IT system that makes everyday work easier for all employees who engage with customers. In replacing the legacy CRM system, the focus was on utilizing the advantages of the product range of a well-known IT provider. The main advantages here are the direct integration of functionalities in e-mail dispatching and business telephony. Dashboards, which now significantly shorten the daily search for information, provide additional advantages.
What did the road to Go Live look like?
Salzgitter Flachstahl has been using a CRM tool since 2005. As the provider support for this system had expired, an alternative system was required. The pilot phase kicked off at the start of 2022 and the search for alternative CRM system providers was underway. This was followed by a proof of concept phase in which the providers presented their systems. On conclusion of the test phase, Salzgitter Flachstahl decided to adopt the CRM system of the best provider. Salzgitter Flachstahl was supported by Salzgitter Digital Solutions GmbH.
The concept development started at the beginning of 2023 involving key users being appointed for the design and implementation of the project. With their expertise and competence the key users provided significant support in the individual implementation steps. Following a project duration of just under a year, the time had finally come: the first stage of the new CRM@365 is now fully configured and ready for use. Additional functionalities will be developed and implemented in the coming months.
We would like to thank everyone involved in the project for their extraordinary support and wish all our users every success in their work with the new tool.
