Review Euroblech 2022

07.11.2022 | Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH

At the 26th International Sheet Metal Working Technology Fair, around 1,300 exhibitors from 39 countries presented their latest concepts to a global audience of nearly 40,000 trade visitors under the motto "Your gateway to a smarter future". As the global industry and trend barometer for the sheet metal working industry, the show presented a comprehensive range of customized solutions to make manufacturing and logistics processes modern and competitive. The main trade show topics were digitalization, sustainability and Industry 4.0. Of course, the Salzgitter Group was also represented in Hall 17.

A particular highlight this year was the model of the m2 rail freight car system exhibited at the fair. With the m2 freight car, Salzgitter Flachstahl presented a unique system for implementing the circular economy in steel production, which is of central importance in the future of the industry. In line with the vision of "Pioneering for Circular Solutions", this unique innovation makes it possible to transport coils, as well as the resulting scrap, combined on one wagon and thus economically and ecologically efficient.

As a further highlight, visitors were able to experience a virtual journey through the new state-of-the-art hot-dip galvanizing line 3 with the aid of virtual reality glasses. At terminals provided, visitors were also able to find out more about the value-added concepts presented by Salzgitter Flachstahl.

Salzgitter Flachstahl was represented on all days of the trade fair by sales and technical customer service staff.

"We held numerous interesting discussions about the new hot-dip galvanizing line and Pioneering for Circular Solutions with customers and partners. The main topic was the opportunities for the coming months. It is clear that everyone was pleased that a face-to-face meeting was possible again," said Phillip Meiser, Director of Sales at Salzgitter Flachstahl.

We thank you for your interest and look forward to welcoming you again at EuroBLECH in 2024.
