Winter service from Salzgitter steel

02.12.2020 | Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH

When we leave the house on cold winter days, the joy of an already gritted sidewalk is great. That the roads are no longer slippery is also a result of the work of gritting vehicles.
Sand, salt or grit can be used to master the slippery challenges of the winter months. However, due to their small size and hard texture, these bulk materials have particularly abrasive properties, which requires high demands on their containers. For this reason, the bulk materials are filled into containers made of highly abrasive steel, which are attached to tractors, for example. The bulk materials, consisting of small particles, are distributed in doses on the respective sidewalks or road surfaces by means of highly technical spreaders in order to guide the citizens well through the slippery days.

With a tradition of around 100 years, Rauch Landmaschinenfabrik GmbH, based in Sinzheim, can be described as a specialist in the manufacture of winter maintenance machines. With "Made in Germany", the family business is a pioneer for quality and innovation. As a long-standing partner, Salzgitter Flachstahl and Salzgitter Mannesmann Stahlhandel are jointly responsible for innovative products made of the highest quality steel.  Farmers, local authorities, large companies and contractors all over the world place their trust in Rauch, in view of the high quality, reliability and long product life. For this reason, it is understood that Salzgitter Flachstahl accompanies these values with its high-quality steel products.  The special requirements for surface quality and dimensional tolerances, for example, which the steel from Salzgitter supplies, guarantee the wide range of possible applications for the winter maintenance machines.
